First Friday Art Walk
First and foremost:
I'll be at the Phoenix Cactus Comic Con studio at the First Friday Art Walk - Novemeber 2nd - showing and selling a bunch of work and drawing commission sketches. I've also got the last few remaining KING! books that are just damn near sold out, so pick up one of those. I'll be selling some little artbooks as well and a free sketch that will go in them. Jay Fotos of Spawn and Death Dealer fame will be there as well. I love hanging out with this guy...one of the most amazing color artists in the field. The First Friday Art Walk is a new thing for me so I hope I don't come off as a total goober. If you come by, be nice. I'm shy.

Today's image: Sweeney Todd. Normally I don't do my own fan art - with the exception of some classic horror drawings and some batman. The fan art stuff is usually done as commission work for clients, and it's rarely of a character that I'm particularly a fan of. Whatever the client wants. But last night I took some time out to draw a bit of Sweeney. While at a movie with my wife we came across the poster for the new film and I can't think of any other time that I looked at something and said "Holy Moses! I've gotta draw that!" So I did. Enjoy.

This is incredibly cool. Did you see the movie? It was excellent - so much blood & silliness!

Y'know...I have not seen it yet. I plan to, but it'll probably have to be when it comes out on disc. I love going to see movies, I just don't ever have the time anymore.

...plus soda makes me pee and I'm afraid I would piss off the audience if I ask the projector chap to pause the film while I go take a leak.
